The ESU Centre for Speech and Debate acts in partnership with a large number of sponsors, partners and associates to promote speech and debate in Britain and Ireland, and around the world. We also provide a wide range of services outside our dedicated programmes to institutions and organisations who wish to learn more about debate or use it as an educational tool.
With support from backers such as the Department for Education and Skills, the Department for Constitutional Affairs, Coca-Cola Great Britain, HSBC, and Tesco PLC the ESU Centre for Speech is expanding rapidly to meet the growing demand for teaching and support of speaking and debating skills. Click <here> to see a complete list of our sponsors and the programmes they support, as well as for information on how you or your organisation could support our work.
The ESU Centre for Speech and Debate is also the country’s foremost provider of training and expertise on using debate as an educational tool. We have lent our support to organisations including Focus on Food, the Shakespeare’s Birthplace Trust, the Hansard Society and the Foreign and Commonwealth Office to enable them to use debate as part of their own work. Click here to find out more about those partnerships and to discover ways in which your organisation could work in partnership with the ESU.
We are also able provide commercial training in communication skills, competitive or curriculum-based debate, and public speaking to adults, companies and educational institutions that are not otherwise catered for by our existing programmes.
